How to safely and correctly reconstitute and use your research peptides.

One fresh swab per septum, right before each puncture

Reconstitution Step by Step
Let the vial reach room temperature
Let the peptide vial acclimatise at room temperature for 15โ30 minutes before opening it. Skipping this risks condensation inside the vial, which can compromise the powder.
Define your target concentration
Use our Peptide Calculator to work out the right solvent volume. Worked example: 10 mg peptide + 2 ml solvent = 5 mg/ml (500 ยตg per 0.1 ml).
Disinfect both septa
Wipe the rubber septum of the peptide vial and the solvent vial, each with its own fresh alcohol swab. Let the alcohol dry for 10โ15 seconds before piercing either one.
Draw up solvent without air bubbles
Insert the syringe through the septum of the solvent vial and draw the calculated volume. Hold the vial inverted and tap the syringe gently to release any trapped air.
Reconstitute the peptide
Insert the needle through the disinfected septum of the peptide vial and let the solvent run in slowly along the glass wall โ never straight onto the powder. This keeps the peptide structure intact.
Confirm full dissolution
Roll the vial gently between your fingers until the powder has fully dissolved. The result should be a clear, colourless solution โ cloudiness or particles signal a problem.
Date it and refrigerate immediately
Write the reconstitution date on the vial and store it straight away at 2โ8 ยฐC. Typical shelf life: 14โ28 days.
